M2 Ausgänge für CV von Synth - Kabel?

Hallo zusammen,
ich möchte mir gerne ein Motu M2 anschaffen, um dieses als Interface für ein Moog DFAM Synth zu nutzen. Als DAW nutze ich Ableton.
Das Motu M2 hat ja DC-coupled Ausgänge, die ich für eine Ansteuerung meines Synths über Control Voltage nutzen kann, oder? Ich habe nun eine Frage zu dem Kabel, das ich brauche:
Der Moog DFAM hat 3,5mm Klinke Eingänge auf dem Patchfield für die Clock. Im Motu Manuel steht: the analog outputs are not cross-coupled. Therefore,when connecting them to an unbalanced input, use a TRS plug with the ring disconnected. Not floating the negative terminal will short it to the sleeve ground and cause distortion.
Was genau heißt das? Was für ein Kabel muss ich nutzen?
